Director - Bev Nicholas
Bev has been acting since the late forties and directing plays, musicals and pantomime since the early sixties both professionally and community. He has covered everything from Shakespeare to Coony farces ad enjoyed all. He came to Canada in 1973 and played and directed for various groups including Georgetown Little Theatre and Globe, Bramalea Little Theatre, The Curtain Club, Richmond Hill, The Village Players on Bloor St., Brampton Music Theatre and Dundalk Little Theatre. Professionally acting in a 14 year stint in Toronto's ”The Mousetrap" playing Major Metcalf full-time and Mr. Paravicnni part-time. Other pro gigs for acting and directing were with The Gemini Dinner Theatre Co. for six years, Herongate Barn Dinner theatre, Century Church Theatre Company plus my own (with Jo) Lasard Productions where we perform Summer Theatre and Cabaret. His favorite directing of a musical was FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and his favorite part in musicals was Billy Bigalow in CAROUSEL. This is Bev’s third association with Busybody. The first time he played Superintendent Baxter for Bramalea Little Theatre in the 1996, then in 2002 he directed it for the Dundalk Little Theatre and he is delighted to be directing this funny, suspenseful play once again for this very exciting new group. I have a great cast and a great backstage team headed up by my producer Bob Turnbull. I am looking forward to it with great pleasure.
